Spring Cleaning By The Detox Method

Spring is around the corner and I thought I would share this lemon detox recipe for you all to try. It is originally a 10 day cleanse but if you are starting out, just try 3 days at first. Enjoy!

The Lemonade Diet works just how it sounds, and so the recipes for the diet itself are fairly simple. Here is an example of a few good recipes that can be used. (Courtesy of Master Cleanse Secrets)
Lemon Detox Cleanse

Master Cleanse Diet Recipe

#1 (single serving):

- 2 Tbsp Lemon (approx ½ of a Lemon)
- 2 Tbsp Genuine Organic Maple Syrup (not Maple flavored sugar syrup you'd put on pancakes)
- 1/10 Tsp Cayenne pepper (red pepper)
- Ten oz. glass of hot water (cold can be used if preferred)

#2 (60 oz. daily serving):

- 60 oz. water
- 12 Tbsp organic Maple syrup (Grade B)
- 12 Tbsp lemon juice
- ½ Tsp Cayenne Pepper

There are a couple important things to remember when using these recipes. For one, the lemon juice used must be fresh squeezed. This cannot be emphasized enough. It is necessary to use fresh produce. Canned juice won't work and will erase most of the benefits of using this diet. Also, the maple syrup must be organic, Grade B maple syrup, not the sugar filled syrup that is used at the breakfast table.

The How To Deal With Blocked Pores In Everyday Life Resulting in Milia

Now a lot of you are probably thinking what is that five letter word? I have never heard of that word before! And you probably have that confused look on your face. But wait, I will explain it is a language we all can understand! :)

Do you ever wonder what those tiny white bumps on your face are? They show up under your eyes, beside your nose, chin, cheeks, and even along your hair line? Well that is what we call milia. (pronounced Meal-lee-ah). Now I know some of you are saying, "oh yeah i know what that is now!" or "i am still not following what that is!"

Milia- milia is a superficial cyst filled with dead skin cells and debris. Which is sometimes called a small calcium deposit under the skins layers.

Also, if you have developed them along the hairline then it is from excess amount of hair products either not washed out enough or it has made contact with your skin and throughout the day you perspire which can cause a blocked pore. The only way to safely remove them is to use a lancet. (Lancet is an instrument that has a sharp end, but is not a needle and is only to be used by a Certified/ Licenced Skin Therapist.)

If you have no time to see a professional then you are able to exfoliate the areas of concern by yourself at home, just it may take a bit longer to get rid of them. Next time you schedule a facial ask your therapist what they would recommend and if they can look at any milia you may have.

To keep your pores and skin hydrated make sure you are drinking lots of water!

Enjoy!!

Get Rid Of Those Bags and Puffiness Under Eyes

Do you ever wake up and your looking in the mirror and it looks like you have been crying all night or you look like you never really went to bed even though you did? Well i am pretty sure a lot of us females and yes males have experienced this. But don't you worry there are easy solutions to this small problem!  It doesn't involve mixing a lot of things together or spending a whole lot of money on a product that eventually will not give you results right away.

Go to your local grocery store and grab a box of tea bags, preferably a soothing tea like Chamomile. Also, Mint would energize your eyes as well and works great at making you look awake! Tea Bags should be kept on the eyes for a good 20 minutes, so relax and take some quiet time!

Also, putting something cold on your eyes works as well. Remember those eye pads your mothers and grandmothers used to put on their eyes before they went to bed? Well, they work! Cold reduces the swelling so use more of it.

And finally, DRINK PLENTY OF WATER! Water is your best friend on most days! Never turn down water. It will help your skin glow as well as put the hydration and moisture back into your skin layers.
